Description & Colour:  Brown to reddish brown liquid, medium consistency


Aromatic Summary: The warm, dry and earthy aroma is characteristic of the roots. Similar to patchouli with a hint of citrus. A base note with a strong aroma


Flashpoint: >93°C


Storage: Transfer out of any metal and shipping containers (used for safe shipping), keep in dark glass container 


Safety Notes: For external use only; dilute before use. May cause skin irritations, a skin test is recommended prior to use, avoid contact with eyes. Avoid During Pregnancy. 

Note: This oil can be very thick. If so, we would recommend placing the bottle in a very hot water bath, and changing the water frequently until it is back to its liquid state, then gently agitating it before use.


Usage: Antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative (nervous system), stimulant (circulatory), tonic, and vermifuge. Used in aromatherapy, massage therapy, skin care products, a base note in perfumery


Blends well with: Cedarwood, Chamomile, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Spikenard, Vanilla, and Ylang-ylang


A tall tufted perennial with scented grass and a complex lacework of underground white rootlets. The roots are used by the locals to create woven matting. In India and Sri Lanka, Vetiver is known as the “oil of tranquility”.
