Safety Notes: This essential oil may contain phototoxic properties and it is suggested to avoid exposure to the sun after application to the skin. For external use only; dilute before use. May cause skin irritations, a skin test is recommended prior to use, avoid contact with eyes.
Usage: Antiseptic, antispasmodic, digestive, diuretic (mild), sedatives, stimulant (digestive and lymphatic), and tonic. Commonly used in soaps, cosmetics, perfumes and men's colognes.
Blends well with: Other citrus oils such as Lime, Orange, Lemon, and Grapefruit, as well as spice oils such as Nutmeg, Bay and Clove Bud.
The Mandarin is native to southern China and was brought to Europe in 1805. In France, the mandarin fruit and mandarin essential oil is regarded as a safe children’s remedy for indigestion. Also, a remedy for seniors to strengthen their digestive function and liver.
