The formulation has a decadent, buttery consistency that can be whipped cold to create luxurious and customized soap, bath, and shower products. This Foaming Bath Butter is dense and luscious, perfect for soft, velvety soaps or scrubs that can be marketed as luxury products.

With its performance and stability, this Foaming Bath Butter Cosmetic Base opens a world of creative possibilities: whether whipped into a parfait, colored and layered, used as a bath butter, body meringue, or as a sugar or salt scrub, the options are limitless. Enrich this Foaming Bath Butter with essential oils, fragrant oils, natural butters, or other cream and lotion bases.

This soap base is completely biodegradable. It does not contain any artificial colours and is not tested on animals.

All of our Melt & Pour soaps are paraben, preservative and PEG free.

Glycerin 25-50%
Aqua 10-25%
Sorbitol 10-25%
Sodium Cocyl Isethionate 10-25%
Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate 5-10%
Sodium Chloride 1-5%
Tetrasodium EDTA <0.1%

Fragrance Load: 0.5 to 3%
- for example if using a 2% load add 2 grams of fragrance for every 100 grams of soap
- check on individual fragrance to make sure it is soap safe

How to Use

Foaming Bath Butter will double in volume when whipped using a blender or cake mixer. However, it can collapse if whipped to more than double its original volume.

Under no circumstances should this product be discharged at temperatures higher than 122°F (50°C); 118°F is the preferred temperature. At temperatures below 113°F (45°C), the product hardens.

Use an icing bag and pipe into your container or just spoon it into your container.

Notes:

• Carrier Oils - Adding up to 2oz (60ml) of a carrier oils (Grape Seed, Evening Primrose, Sweet Almond, Avocado or Sea Buckthorn if you're looking for a really exotic product!) per pound of base has made the foaming bath butter more moisturizing, particularly on products being applied to the face.
• Sugar / Salt - Sugar or salt can be added until the product becomes supersaturated. Once the salt or sugar stops melting, it will remain in crystal form and act as a wonderful exfoliater.
• Other Butters and Bases - Try adding Shea, Mango or Cocoa Butter, or try adding some exotic butters! The Foaming Bath Butter will also accept small amounts of other creams, lotions, and moisturizers!
