Usage: Antihistamine, antiseptic, astringent, carminative, digestive, disinfectant, emmenagogue, expectorant, stimulant, stomachic, tonic and vermifuge. As an expectorant, it helps to clear bronchitis, bronchial asthma and coughs. It is also helpful in cases of sore throats and laryngitis.


Blends well with: Lavender, Rosewood, Cypress, Geranium, Lemon, Bergamot, Orange, and Pine.


Derived from the Greek Carotos, the edible orange root was known for its ‘healing’. This plant flowers with white blossoms and rosettes of leaves. The plant was developed in the 1700s by the Dutch and when it was transported to the Americas it was then known as Queen Anne’s Lace.
