When selecting wicks our goal is to have a wick that has a sufficient flame to burn to the appropriate width with an appropriate melt pool. This chart is to help you decide which wick to use.
Another helpful use is to compare one brand of wick to another and compare sizes.
Please note that the information here is from the wick manufacturer and are based on unscented, uncoloured paraffin wax.
