Wow, I haven't been on here in a while. See all kinds of new names. I was very sad to hear that Canwax had found a new home. OK, now for my question..... do any of you make your own tea lights. Can't find any wax on the site that is just for tea lights and only 2 kinds of wicks. What do you all use. One more question.....I have two pots of wax, I have one labeled with the type of wax it is, but the other one has no label so I have no idea what type it is. Is there any way of telling.....Help

Hello:

I've been working on making tealights for a couple of months now - however have not had much success. I have been using CB-135 soy wax and Canwax recommended I use 18-342T wicks for tealights.

What I am finding is that the flame is weak and often burns itself out before using up most of the wax. I've tried filling the tealight containers to the top and also not filling them quite as full. I've emailed Canwax for some info and suggestions. I'll let you know when they respond.

I don't know how to help you with figuring out what type of wax. Email Canwax, they may be able to assist you.

Cheers,
TK

Thanks TK for your reply. Doing all the testing is what I hate about making candles.
Yes, I think I will email Canwax about the mystery wax
