With the newest batch of wax hitting 99.00 a case it is making it impossible to profit in the candle business.Makes me wonder if it is worth all the time we put into it.People still dont want to pay much for candles. They expect them to be sold at bargain prices cause you make them.I cant see making any profit on wholesaling them any longer. One thing I noticed if almost every candle maker gives up at some point.S.J. can tell IGI customers are not impressed.

I was selling my votives for $2 each or 3 for $5, I am now just selling them for $2 each and seem to be selling just as many without giving the discount. Most people don't seem to mind paying for quality - you get what you pay for. We were at a show recently were someone was selling them for .90 cents each and another for $1 each, I would not bother melting wax for that type of profit! I find votives time consuming and not much profit compared to larger items, so I am not sure if they were imported votives, or if the candle maker was just looking for a hobby. As for my other prices, they will be going up for the first time in 4 years.
