Tallow is rendered beef or other bovine fat, processed from suet. This version is NOT hydrogenated but is solid at room temperature.
Tallow can be stored for extended periods without the need for refrigeration to prevent decomposition, provided it is kept in an airtight container to prevent oxidation. Use this in any proportions in your soap - and it can be mixed in with other oils.
